Singapore Biennale Vernissage Programme (PDF: 333KB) The official opening took place on the 9 September 2008 at the South Beach Development, Beach Road. Officiated by Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, the opening ceremony marked the start of the premier international contemporary art event in Singapore. Organised by the National Arts Council (NAC), Singapore Biennale 2008 (SB2008) is led by Artistic Director Fumio Nanjo and curated by Matthew Ngui and Joselina Cruz under the theme of Wonder.
